4 modes and Rhetorical Analysis

My paper focuses on two things, the idea of honor amongs thieves, and the idea that, this can most strongly be found in a place where there is the least honor, cyber crime.


My first mode is a piece of art, that depics a masked man stealing a computer, a sort of irony agasint my paper. illistrating the differnce and moderness of cyber theft, but that its still has paralles that connecte it to physical crime.

Where in these two films, technicalitys are taken advantage of. but I am still in search of a clip that shows just how strongly the world wide web connects all of us, I may show one of the old idenity theft commericals, that advice you to protect yourself or are promoting the specific companies way of making you safe.

for a text, I am going to bring in an article that is on its way to being published an a academic journal called Data breaches: What the underground world of "carding" Reveals, written by Kimberly Kiefer Peretti

My audiance is everyone, becuase in this modern age, where we all own computers and so activily use them, we are all at risk, and its relivent to everyone one of us. The Etho's of my presentation will focus on why these cyber criminals do what they do and why they trust eachother. The pathos, is i guess speaking to the relationship of the cyber criminals amongst themselfs, as well as the relationship to us. Focusing on the lack of fear or distrust in the cyber crime world and how they are structured, compared to normal crime. The Logos, also focusing on how they go about doing this, what makes this trust possible and again, the system behind it all.

I will connect with my audiance and teach them simply by educating them, and showing them just how at risk we all are. by using modern examples they can relate to like online shoping, emails, aim.

I think it will be a very teachable and intresting presentation.
